Ever smile when you're not happy? Clothe yourself in charm when uncomfortable? Act tough when feeling vulnerable? What people have affected you and left their mark on how you look at things? What events do you still carry with you? Gardenhouse Dance director Nicole Livieratos created a new performance work entitled, Layers . Using movement, paper, chalk, and costumes that evolve throughout the course of the piece, Layers explored the ways we layer ourselves, literally and metaphorically.
